We arrived to Sebring on Thursday to setup for practice day with Performance Driving Group. Me and Parker Delong, who was my teammate for the weekend got 6 practice sessions and knocked off time each session, practiced drafting and passing each other on the track.

Saturday was qualifying and 2 races, which I thought was pretty cool to get more seat time. My qualifying wasn't the greatest and I qualified 7th place which placed me 7th in the first race. After the first race every race you would line up how you finished in that race. Below is the slight recap of my races.

Day1:

Qualified 7th. Race 1, I finished 6th because I wasn't on my A game but stepped it up in Race 2.

In race 2 I finished 5th. Not only did I finish 5th but got under 2 seconds (lap time) off the leaders that were linked up. My races consisted of some great battles, pushing the limits, and just getting tied up with the radicals and E30's.

Day 3:

I dropped my time in warmup by a second from the day before and now being only 8 tenths off the fast guys. In Race#1 of the day, I raced a good race, fell a little behind till double yellows were thrown, so we all got bunched up again. At the start of the green flag in the back, the E30’s got in the way which had me lose the top runners, so I finished out the race in 4th. The second race I battled side by side with another competitor most of the race and missed 3rd place by less than a blink of an eye.

I'm happy with my finish this weekend at Sebring. The only complaint I have is combining so many classes into one. There were Porsche, E30's, Radicals and even Trans Ams in our races that would lap me and cut me off in corners almost knocking me out, which all it did was help me lose the person in front me.

Off for a week then on to Daytona Kart Week to race my KA100 Junior kart against 30+competitors.

BIG THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT HELPS SUPPORT ME THROUGHOUT MY JOURNEY!

I had an AMAZING weekend this week! This was one of my best races I've had!! I got to race my new 1999 Spec Miata NB car this weekend and it did an awesome job.

Nasa Southeast is another great NASA region we got to attend. They are the most awesome staff and Yan Dia was a great Spec Miata leader and all the drivers were very respectful.

Not much to say about practice, I learned a lot about the car and got faster each and every time I went out on the track.

Day 1, I qualified P9, started the race on the inside and finished P7, which I was happy with that result!

Day 2 races, I had to line up 16th on the outside in both races. Race 1 was great I made up a lot of positions on the start. Throughout the whole race I was very fast and finished P5, which was my first top 5 finish. I was very happy with that!!!

Race 3, the final race of the week, the start was kind of bad which held me up. A red flag was thrown for majority of the race due to someone in the Spec E30 class going off track. We lined up single file with an instant green start and mid way through a driver decided to come down on me, when it was my corner. They hit me which caused me to lose a ton of time. I finished that race in like 13th since I didn't have much time left after the red to make it up. Overall an amazing weekend and one of my favorite tracks.

Next up will be December 17th-18th with Nasa Florida Region at Sebring International Raceway!

Thank you to all my supporters

I can’t be more happy and proud than I am right now! I am honored to be the one who was picked for driver of the year award!

All season I drove hard, tried my hardest and did not expect to get the driver of the year award, with only being 3 months into Spec Miata Racing. I am so grateful for this year with NASA Great Lakes and their great series and can't wait till 2023.

Thank you to Jay Andrew , Nasa Staff & HPDE instructors including Chris Losiniecki, Tim Fokine, Derek Mortland. Also big thank you to Dan Williams for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to obtain my competition license at 13. Another big thanks to Nathan Nicholson who has helped coach me since I started at Nasa and helped me improve my driving, I can't thank you enough. Also the biggest thanks to my parents who gave me this opportunity to do what I love to do the most, without you guys I wouldn't be where I am today.

Here is the recap of my weekend at the National Corvette Motorsports Park!

Day 1, Friday. It was practice day not much to really say about it, although I did do the 3 hour TREC race with Tyler Wettengel and we got 1st in our class and 2nd overall out of 24 teams.

Day 2, Saturday. the first race day. During morning practice I found a lot of time. It was qualifying time and I had the pace for top 7 but due to a driver blocking I did not get a very good lap, still ended P11 out of 18. It was time for the first race, I had a great start gained a spot and had not body contact, was off big time and made mistakes to end the first race in P11. Now it was time for the second race where I started 10th ended up finishing 9th, in the top ten!! I was happy with top ten. Later that night we went to a banquet to watch awards and I got picked for driver of the year!! We also got to explore the corvette museum which was really cool!!

Day 2, Sunday. which was a fun day to end the season. We were combined with a group called thunder and lightning. I showed good pace in practice not being to far off. Now it was time for the race that we had over 60 cars, some different. In my class Spec Miata, we had reverse grid where I started 6th out of 12. I had a good start, got up to 3rd and by the 3rd lap I took the lead. My minor mistakes allowed the 2 fast drivers to catch me and they got around me. I kind of kept up with them, when we went full course yellow for a lot of laps then after it we had a restart. We had one lap to race, other cars from the other groups spun out in front me in the first turn, then we all checked up. The car behind made a clean move and got around me and by that time I needed to get back around him, but ran into lap traffic when I was passing him. So I was forced to back out not to hit him. I finished P4 although I really wanted P3, but know I have all of next year to fix my mistakes.

Overall it was a good weekend I learned a lot. Thanks to my mom and dad for all the support, Beckie Collins and Cory Collins for the help during the TREC race and for the support all week. Good job to Nathan Nicholson, Wyatt Wood and Chris Finnigan on your championship awards.

Today is NOT my last race weekend in my Miata. I will continue my journey driving at other Nasa regions so that I can continue to gain more experience for the next few months.
