ARYTON CAME HOME WITH HIS 1ST COMMERCIAL POINT KARTING CLASSIC WIN IN THE 206 JUNIOR CLASS.

This weekend I ventured out to Commercial Point Ohio for their annual race in the streets, which is near my hometown. This race consisted of a few different classes, running the same configuration they run each year. I haven’t been to this race since 2014, which back then I was in kid karts running about 25mph at age 5, so this was going to be a little different than I was used to.

Friday was setup day and registration day, so nothing too exciting there.

Saturday we only got 2 practice sessions then 2 heat races. The 2nd practice session lined us up for heat race 1, since they didn’t have a qualifying, which I lined up 2nd right beside teammate Addison.

In heat 1 I was able to finish the race in 3rd place, not too much action going on in this race.

Heat 2, I was able to finish the race in 2nd place, which was kind of an interesting race on the last lap that left me with some front bumper damage, but the go kart was good to go for the final on Sunday.

Sunday, we got 2 practice sessions, which the 2nd session was a surprise one, then a long break till the final Race. In the final I lined up in 3rd place, which was figured by points from all heat races. I had a great start, little back and forth lead action but I was able to push my way to the front with a side-by-side finish with teammate Addison.

Next up will be CKNA at the East Lansing Kart Track, which will be my first time at this track and in a new class, so it should be exciting.
